of Veterinary Medicine hold training workshop on “Real time
PCR Technique”
On March 2nd, 2017 at 1.30
pm, at Animal Hospital, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
together with Research and International Affairs had hold
researcher potential development program. This program was
aim to improve the researcher’s potential, encourage and
support research as well as stimulate enhance of research in
the future. The workshop was conducted by Research and
International Affairs, FVM-KKU and AP Life Science Co.,
Ltd. The participants were initiated to new technique of
Real time PCR, learning both workshop and theory sessions in
order to enhance participant’s capacity building in this
technique. Many of faculty’s researchers and lecturers were
joined this intensive workshop. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
is a technique for increasing nucleic acid from analytical
specimens. In the present, PCR techniques has been widely
used and it also used for laboratory diagnosis, including
applied in Forensic Science particularly in some cases, PCR
can provide early diagnosis so this makes the treatment more
effective.

Faculty
of Veterinary Medicine, Khon Kaen University (FVM-KKU)
collected research data in Lao PDR and Cambodia.
During a period of February
16th - 19th
and 23rd
– 26th,
2017, FVM-KKU lecturers along with graduate students
visit to Lao PDR and Cambodia for collected research data in
a research project on monitoring and surveillance of
extended-spectrum -lactams and colistin resistance in food-borne
pathogens isolated from South East Asia Slaughtered Animals
in Cambodia and Laos. All expenditures has been supported by
Health cluster, Chulalongkorn University. This research
project was joint program between both universities.
