hosted the 18th Khon Kaen
Veterinary Annual International Conference (KVAC) on the
topic “Safe food & Good practice for One Health”
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, KKU led by Asst.
Prof. Dr. Kochakorn Direksin,
KVAC2017 chairman in collaboration with Khon Kaen University,
Department of Livestock Development, Cholangiocarsinoma Screen And
Care Program (CASCAP), and Veterinary Khon Kaen University Alumni
Association, had hold the 18th Khon
Kaen Veterinary Annual International Conference (KVAIC) on
topic of “Safe
food & Good practice for One Health” during
March 30 – 31, 2017 at Avani Hotels and Resorts, Khon Kaen. At the
conference, was honored given a welcome speech by Prof.
Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul,
Vice president for Research and Technology Transfer, Khon Kaen
University. After that Dr.
Silthum Wara-Aswapati,
General Director of Regional Livestock 4, Khon Kaen gave the opening
speech for the conference.
This conference was aimed to present about knowledge and modern
technical technology, exchange opinions on matters affecting human
and animal health. It also focuses on the cooperation of various in
the ASEAN countries that have been set up joint activities in
various fields. The goal is for all countries to cooperate and
coordinate One Health, to exchange technology, especially knowledge
and communication. It is also very necessary to control and prevent
the disease and enhance the health of the population of the region.
Modifications in one side of a party may affect one another's
health. In addition, the holistic understanding of human and animal
health is very important to support mutual well-being. It was also a
platform for FVM-KKU alumni to present their academic works in the
field of veterinary science and health science. The idea to focused
on One Health is a revolutionary concept that faculty has proceeded
continuously. There was oral and poster presentations from FVM-KKU
graduate students and alumni. More than 700 participants both Thai
and Overseas were joined the conference.
