  • Academic admission (number of students): A total of 110 students are enrolled each academic year. The admission methods include:
    1. Regional examination (30 from schools in northeast region, 5 from north and 5 from south regions) The examination is arranged by Khon Kaen University, Chiangmai University, and Prince of Songkla University for northeast, north and south regions, respectively. Eligible applicants are 12th grade students in high schools located in northeast, north and south regions only.
    2. National admission examination (20): Eligible applicants are 12th grade students and college students who are qualified according to criteria of the Ministry of Education. National tests such as General Aptitude and Professional Aptitude test scores are necessary for the application.
    3. Direct entrance examination (50) : The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Khon Kaen University arranges the entrance examination around March of each year. Eligible applicants include 12th grade students and those who have at least a high school degree. Age of the applicants is unlimited. The tests include mathematic, biology, English and veterinary skill subject tests and the interview. Each part accounts for 20% of the total scores.  
  • Health qualification : Those who passed the academic test must be examined by designated physicians for color-blindness, hearing defects, eye defects, and some others infectious diseases according to the university regulation. Applicants with a serious defect or disease are disqualified according to the university regulation.
  • Exemption : New students who already graduated a bachelor degree are able to omit the general education subjects for 30 credits. The submission for omission must be filed within 2 weeks after the first semester of the first year. For those who previously enrolled in any college programs may submit the general education credit transfer. However, the transferred subject must be completed in less than 5 years and the grade point for the subject must be higher than C. The filing must be within 2 weeks after the first semester of the first year as well.
