March 4th, 2019, led by Assoc.Prof.Dr.Chuchat
Kamollerd, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM-KKU)
together with Faculty’s administration team and staff had warmly
welcomed 10 exchange students, Mr. Md. Ariful Alam, Mr. Md.
Kashfek Ahmed, Mr. Shamim Ahammed, Mr. Shishir Sarkar, Mr. Md. Dulal
Hosen, Miss Anu Duwal, Mr. Md. Rabiul Islam, Miss Rohinee Maharjan,
Miss Sujana Dongol and Miss Mst. Tachhzima Akter from
Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science, Hajee Mohammad Danesh
Science and Technology University, Bangladesh (HSTU). The 10
students from HSTU are going to attend short course training in
Companion Animal as well as Large Animal clinics during March 4th–
24th, 2019. During the visit, they will have an
opportunity to observe and practice at the Veterinary Teaching
Hospital, work on a field trip and also learn Thai culture. Besides
training at Vet Teaching Hospital, FVM-KKU had also provided special
schedule for 10 exchange students to visit at
Khon Kaen zoo and the King Cobra village, Ban Khok Sa-nga,
Nam Phong District, Khon Kaen. This is the second batch from HSTU
delegates that visit FVM-KKU.
FVM-KKU expected that
this time internship will also enhance the experience as well as
raising the level of veterinary skills. In addition, this exchange
program is in line with Khon Kaen University's goal of strengthening
internationalism.

On December 20th, 2018 led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuchat
Kamollerd, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Khon Kaen
University and international staff warmly welcomed 3 delegates from
the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University, Indonesia
led by
Dr. Oky Setyo Widodo, lecturer in Animal Husbandry Department, Prof.
Dr. Pantja Madyawati, Head of Ph.D. Program
and Dr. Widya Paramita Lokapirnasari, Head of Magister
Agribusiness VeterinaryProgram. This meeting was held at
5th floor, Pichet Luangthongkam Building, FVM-KKU.
This meeting was focus on further study guidelines at FVM-KKU in
graduate level, both master's degree and doctoral degree for
Airlangga University teaching staff. Moreover, FVM-KKU and Airlangga
University, Indonesia had already signed academic cooperation (MOU)
since 2014. The faculty hopes that both institutions will increase
more number of exchange students and staff particularly the
opportunity to welcome graduate students from Indonesia who wish to
study at the faculty in the future in order to develop, upgrade and
enhance veterinary profession together.

The faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Khon Kaen
University (FVM-KKU)warmly welcomed 6 lecturers from
Faculty of
Agriculture, National University of Laos (NUOL), Lao PDR.
This visit was focus on strengthening capacity
building for Nabong Campus teaching staff so FVM-KKU had settle
training program for Nabong Campus staff that related to Veterinary
Anatomy and Physiology during November 26th – December 3rd,
2018. In
addition, both institutions also discussed about cooperation of
enhancement and development in veterinary profession in Lao PDR. And
the two institutions have had long-term cooperation in academic
field.

University (CVASU), Bangladesh
In the morning session on 21STNovember, 2018 at 10.00 am.
Assoc. Prof. Dr.Chuchat Kamollerd, Dean of The Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine Khon Kaen Unviersity (FVM-KKU) along with Faculty’s
Executive Board warmly welcomed Prof. Ahasanul Hoque,
former Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chittagong
Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Bangladesh and
Mr. Saroj Kumar Yadav, CVASU exchange students. This visit
focused on academic collaboration and joint research between the two
institutions, especially to facilitate research, staff and students
exchange in the future. Besides, CVASU delegates visited dairy farms
in cooperation with FVM-KKU during November 20 - 21, 2018. Mr. Saroj
Kumar Yadav gets practice in small and large animal surgery unit at
FVM-KKU Animal Teaching Hospital during October 21 - November 4,
2018. FVM-KKU expected that this time internship will also enhance
the experience as well as raising the level of veterinary skills. In
addition, this exchange program is in line with Khon Kaen University's
goal of strengthening internationalism.
Signing ceremony of MOU between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,
Khon Kaen University, Thailand (FVM-KKU)and NORWEGIAN VETERINARY
INSTITUTE, Norway (NVI)
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Khon
Kaen University, Thailand (FVM-KKU) and NORWEGIAN VETERINARY
INSTITUTE, Norway (NVI), was held on September 26th,
2018 at Payakkha Meeting room, 5th floor, Pichet
Luangthongkam Building, FVM-KKU. At the signing ceremony, The MOU
was signed by, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuchat Kamollerd, FVM-KKU
Dean and Prof. Marianne Sunde, section leader, Section of Food Safety
and Emerging Health Threats, NVI delegate. In addition, Prof.
Marianne Sunde had led two other NVI members to collect some
sample and conduct a research with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jatesada
Jiwakanon, lecturer in Department of Veterinary Medicine and
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sunpetch Angkititrakul, lecturer in Department
of Veterinary Public Health. The two institutions members will be on
duty from 20 September to 20 November 2018.
Both institutions
recognize the importance of academic cooperation which is basedon
research collaborative, exchange of staff and the development of
teaching and learning. This MOU
will commence on the date it is signed by representatives of both
parties and shall be valid for a period of 5 years.
FVM-KKU hopes that this memorandum will lead the development of the
veterinary profession particularly animal and human quality along
the way and contribute to sustainable development in the future.

Chung Hsing University, Taiwan (2018)
On August 16th,
2018 led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuchat Kamollerd, Dean of the
faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Khon Kaen University (FVM-KKU)
together with the faculty administrations team and staff had warmly
welcomed Mr. CHEN SHIN-MENG,
Mr. HSU HAO-CHUN and Mr. LIU
HSIAO-LUN,
exchange student from College of Veterinary Medicine, National
Chung Hsing University(NCHU), Taiwan. 3 NCHU students will
attend clinical practice in Companion Animal unit at the Animal
Teaching Hospital, FVM-KKU during August 10th–September 8th, 2018.
This training will be under the supervision of FVM-KKU
Hospital’s veterinarian. There will be lecturers and students
from both universities have an opportunity to exchange every year.
This exchange program is bases on the cooperation under the academic
cooperation agreement and staff exchange between Khon Kaen
University and National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan. FVM-KKU
expects that this internship will be enhancing the experience as
well as upgrading the skills and expertise of veterinary profession.

On August 9th, 2018 led by Assoc.
Prof. Dr. Chuchat Kamollerd, Dean of the faculty of Veterinary
Medicine, Khon Kaen University (FVM-KKU) together with the faculty
administration team and staff had warmly welcomed 3 administrators,
Dr. Jin Meilan, Associate Dean of Department of Veterinary Medicine,
Dr. Qiu Xiaoyan, a teacher from Department of Animal Science áĹĐ
Dr. Lyu Hongjian, a teacher from Department of Aquaculture,
together with 7 students,
Miss Chen Tingting, Miss
Chen Yijiang, Miss Xiongyindi, Miss Qin Shiyu, Miss
Qiu Can, Miss Tu Wenjun and Miss He Yonglin from College of
Animal Science, Southwest University, China. This visit is a part of
staff and students exchange program under MOU collaboration between
the two institutes. In addition, long and short term exchange staff
particularly academic collaboration were discussed. During the
visit, SWU delegates had an opportunity to observe the Animal
Teaching Hospital with companion and large animal sections and
laboratory facilities of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Khon
Kaen University. SWU students will be trained at KKU Veterinary
Teaching Hospital in a period of 1 month during August 9th –
September 5th, 2018 which under supervision by Teaching
Hospital veterinarian. In addition, The Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine, Khon Kaen University and College of Animal Science and
Technology, Southwest University, had a long and continuous academic
cooperation, especially regards to exchange of students and staff.
In each year, there will be lecturers and students from both
universities take a chance to exchange. Moreover,in
2018, it is also considered as a celebration of the twelfth
anniversary of the relationship between SWU and Khon Kaen
University.

Students and
staff exchange programs under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine KKU and College of Animal
Science and Technology, Southwest University, China
During June 17th
– 21st, 2018 led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kochakorn Direksin,
associate dean for Research and International Affairs and Assoc.
Prof. Dr. Kanlaya Chuachan, associate dean for planning and
quality assurance, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Khon Kaen
University (FVM-KKU) had led five FVM-KKU students to attend 2 weeks
study and exchange cultural program at the College of Animal Science
and Technology, Southwest University in Chongqing, China (SWU)
during June 17th – 29th.The
purpose of their visit was for study program and discussing about
research between the two universities. FVM-KKU delegates also
followed up the progress of MOU between the Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine, KKU
and College of Animal Science and Technology, Southwest University.
In addition, during the program, the students had the opportunity to
join veterinary activities with SWU students. Moreover, in 2018, it
is also considered as a celebration of the twelfth anniversary of

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Khon
Kaen University, Thailand (FVM-KKU) and the Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine and Animal Science, Swedish University of Agricultural
Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden (VMSLU) was held on May 28th,
2018 at Archanai Meeting room, 5th floor, Pichet
Luangthongkam Building, FVM-KKU. At the signing ceremony, The MOU
was signed by, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Chuchat Kamollerd, FVM-KKU Dean
and Prof.Dr.Ulf Magnusson, SLU delegate. Under the MOU, FVM-KKU
and VMSLU will collaborate in the academic collaboration and staff
or students exchange program to strengthen and develop the good
relations between institutes, especially in the field of Veterinary
education for short or long term training.
This MOU will commence on the date it
is signed by representatives of both parties and shall be valid for
a period of 5 years. Over the years,
there are many lecturers from FVM-KKU that graduated from VMSLU both
master degree and PhD.

On May 15th, 2018, led by

Veterinary Medicine (FVM-KKU) together with Faculty’s administration
team and staff had warmly welcomed 10 exchange students, Mr.
Sydus Shalekin Shakil, Mr. Sanjib Chandra Nath, Mr. Rupom Devnath,
Mr. Apu Raihan, Mr. Md. Alauddin, Mr. Md. Abdullan Al Mamun, Mr.
S.M. Abdus Salam, Mr. Saddam Hossain, Miss Sabiha Zarin Tasnim
Bristi and Miss Tamanna Nayon Noor from Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU),
Bangladesh. The delegates from CVASU visited FVM-KKU under exchange
program collaboration between the 2 institutions. The 10 Bangladesh
students are going to attend short course training in Companion
